I love chilling out with Prive bakery cafe.. This is not a food blog, so the focus of this post is not on the food review.  But I will just mention that they serve wonderful breakfast till 5pm, and the tea time set (where you buy any cake and you get a coffee / tea for $1 or $2 (can’t remember) is a pretty good deal.. (It’s not just any tea, it’s a pot of TWG tea.. :) )  Just thinking about it makes me hungry…

Okay, back to why I’m blogging about this place.. They have a small play area there for kids!

Prive Bakery Cafe’s Play Area

There is a swing, against a lovely backdrop of Reflections on Keppel Bay, and that’s MF sitting on it when he was 6+ month old.  The swing has a safety belt so he won’t fall off.. :)

There’s a playhouse, which MF couldn’t explore on his own yet, so I had to squeeze inside with him:

They have a little table, complete with toy utensils! If I’m a kid, I would be tempted to dine right there… But I think this place is for play only, not for real eating:

They also have this move-the-bead-through-the-wire toy that other eateries such as Mad Jack Cafe (at Jalan Kayu), Lena’s (at NEX) and Kiseki (at Heeren) also have:

There are also slides, but MF is still too young to play with them.  (I’ll try to remember to take a photo the next time I’m there and share it.)

The play area is at the outdoor seating area, so there is no aircon, but it is sheltered.

After your meal, you can go for a nice scenic boardwalk around the area:

However, note that there is no nursing room at Keppel Bay Marina, and I didn’t even see a diaper-changing table in the toilet.  Usually, I change MF’s diaper and nurse him at Habourfront Centre before taking a stroll over to Prive.  And thankfully, he hasn’t pooed there before… :p

Actually there is a diaper changing facility in the handicapped toilet on the ground floor near the drop-off area. My girl poo-ed on the way to Prive. Hehe.

Thank you for your wonderful blog on the eateries with play areas. It has been so helpful to us as we visited Singapore for 2 weeks over the past Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Prive bakery has been a wonderful choice as we hosted a simple birthday party for our 5 year old over there. Despite a last minute reservation, the staff managed to put up a beautiful signage and decorated the party area with many balloons. As the kids play with the toys, the adults could chill and relax overlooking the quiet marina.

The dinner menu is also quite a good value for money, especially the kids sets. The portions were huge :) Will highly recommend for families who want an alternative venue from the crowds and noise..

Thank you for sharing with us your lovely experience! I love Prive and used to hang out there until my kids outgrew their play area. It’s been a while since I’ve been there, and reading your review made me miss the food and ambiance there! Think a revist is due. :)
