Detailed Review of Jumperzillas @ Marina Bay Sands

[Update:  Jumperzillas has since became Fidgets City.]

When I visited Marina Bay Sands, I wasn’t really expecting it to be a very child-friendly place.. I mean, it’s a casino – no kids allowed.  All I was expecting was shop after shop selling branded goods. But how wrong I was!  The area around the food court not only has an ice-skating rink, it is concentrated with shops selling kids’ stuff and an indoor playground called Jumperzillas!! It allows punters to drop off their *older* kids and get away for a few hours to try their luck at the casino.. How smart!  Ah, I forgot.. Marina Bay Sands is not a casino.. It is an INTERGRATED RESORT.. 🙂

The entrance fee was a bit pricey (I’ll share more about it later), but the staff told me it is FREE for babies under 1! WOOHOO~~~! What am I waiting for? Nothing! So in we go… It’s free for adults too!

Jumperzillas is divided into the Playscape and the Craft & Play sections, which charges separate entrance fees.

The Playscape is a typical indoor playground.. A bit small compared to other indoor playgrounds in Singapore, but I don’t think they are trying to compete since they probably target casino-goers instead of the average kid on the street.

So up the steps and across the bridge MF goes.. He knows the drill well by now!

Some other stuff in the playscape:

The highlight here are the many many slides they have.. The biggest ones go right into a ball pit! (Ah, I forgot to take photo of the wavy slide..)

At the ball pit, they installed a little hoop for kids (and adults) to practice their basketball-throwing skills:

They also have toys like see-saws, swings and a super-mini slide:

And there’s even a trampoline!

Well, that’s about it.  Like I said, it’s really small.  The Craft & Play section is an area with tables and chairs for kids to do colouring, rubber art, balloon sculpturing etc.  and a row of game consoles such as Playstation and Wii:

Other things that can be found here are the snack store, party room (equipped with Xbox Kinect!) and internet surfing station equipped with iPads (installed with many kids’ apps!)!!

There are no toilets or nursing rooms within Jumperzillas, but no worries, the nearest toilets / nursing room is just a few steps away.  Step out of the exit, walk straight, pass a few shops and you’re there!

So if you are looking for a place to drop off your kid, young or old (when I was there, there were young kids playing in the Playscape and a teenager playing Playstation), while you are having fun in the adults’ playground a.k.a. casino, hop on over to Jumperzillas!
