(Update 21/4/2015: Sun Plaza is currently undergoing major renovations.  This Sakae Sushi is no longer there when I visited Sun Plaza today.)

Today, hubby knocked off early and we decided to go to Sakae Sushi at Sun Plaza (next to Sembawang MRT) for buffet lunch! Hearing that there is a playground there, we brought MF along for some fun.

When we arrived, we were disappointed to find out that we couldn’t sit near the play area as the computer for ordering and the conveyor belts to the seats in that area were not operating on a weekday afternoon.  Nevertheless, the play area was available for MF to play.

There’s a club house, a slide and two see-saws here, enough to keep MF occupied for long enough while hubby and I enjoyed our sushi.  MF had lots of fun treating the see-saw as a rocking horse and rocking away while enjoying the view of MRTs zooming past.

The Sakae sushi at Sun Plaza also has a kids conveyor belt, although it was not operating on a weekday afternoon. We saw from a brochure that you can actually book this area for your kid’s birthday party!

If you are looking for a kid-friendly place to binge on sushi, pop by Sakae Sushi at Sun Plaza!  It is located on Level 2, near the lift / toilets.  Or you could try the outlet at Tradehub 21 if you stay in the West, though the playground there is not air-conditioned.  Both Sun Plaza and Tradehub 21 are currently having the Sakae Children’s Day promotion, where kids dine free on the first Sunday of the month!
