On the rooftop of Lot 1 Shopping Centre (connected to Choa Chu Kang MRT station), you will find a fun haven for kids! The rooftop playground at Lot 1 is made up of 3 segments.
Kids TV Room
Singapore is super hot most of the time. So imagine my joy to find this air-conditioned Kids TV Room at Lot 1 shopping centre! I know, I shouldn’t be letting my little boy watch so much TV. But frankly, he showed no interest with what was on the TV. He was more busy moving the little stools around when we were there.. Hah! And I was, well, just enjoying the air-con.
Outdoor Dry Playground
Okay okay, let’s not be so pampered and go out for some active play. Part of the dry playground here was made up of this structure that was too challenging for my toddler:
However, the other half was manageable for toddlers. At 1.5 years old, MF was able to go up and stairs and slide down here safely on his own.
Water Play Area
It seems that nowadays dry playgrounds are simply not enough to keep kids happy. There must also be a water playground thrown into the equation!
You can see from little MF’s face how much he LOVES water play! Even if it’s just a small little fountain of water spurting out from the ground. Oh well… Kids.
This water jet is so cute! Who wants to run into a frog’s mouth?
And the water jets that took the form of elephant and giraffe upped the cute factor further!
There were also some water guns, but MF was a little too short to handle them. Probably for older kids to shoot water at each other.
Thumbs up to Lot 1 for this awesome rooftop playground! The photos above were taken on separate occasions, so you can tell I have been here quite a bit. I highly support shopping malls who bother to install kids-friendly facilities like these! So next time you are in the Northwest area with your kids, why not pop down to Lot 1 for some family fun?
