[warning]Update (May 2015): I was informed by a reader that Canopy Playground is no longer around.[/warning]
Today, we went to the airport for dinner and since we spent more than $30, we decided to head to Canopy playground at Terminal 1 to let MF play. When we reached there, we discovered that there is no longer a sign-in counter and the playground is now open for all to play for free!!
There has been a slight change to the playground: At where the trampoline used to be, there is now a treehouse-like play structure.
Happy MF could play for as long as he wanted! Here’s him playing happily in the treehouse:
The downside to free entry is that there is no staff around to enforce the rules, so you can expect hygiene standards to go down. MF was the only kid wearing socks in the playground when I was there, but at least everybody took off their shoes before going in. And the hand sanitizer was placed pretty far away from the entrance, so I’m not sure how many people noticed it and used it.
Canopy Playground is located at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, at the viewing gallery on Level 3.
