Update: Frunatic @ Star Vista has closed down.

Earlier, my friend had sent me fun-looking photos of Frunatic Fast Fruits Restaurant at Star Vista.  I have been wanting to bring MF there to play,  and today I finally found the time to travel all the way there from Yishun!

The restaurant is easy to find – it is the super bright and cheerful looking restaurant just next to the food court at Level 2.

The restaurant is pretty big, and there is a section of air-conditioned seating.  However, the play area is on the other end of the restaurant which is not air-conditioned.  If you sit at the air-conditioned area, you will not be able to see your kids.  My friend and I settled at the booth just next to the play area so that we could keep an eye on our two year olds.

There is a sign at the door stating that the play area is for kids below 4 years old only.

Within the play area, there are many toys suitable for toddlers. 20130503-220713.jpg

There is also a TV airing Sesame Street while we were there.

MF enjoyed himself a lot and spent 2 hours there (including a lunch break).20130503-220737.jpg

Food wise, it is really nothing to rave about.  I think there are only like, less than 20 items on their menu? And their juices cost $6.80 and aren’t even sweet. There was no other customer when I was there and they made me wait 5 minute for my cup of juice.  It really makes me wonder how they are going to stay in business. And for a kid-friendly restaurant, there isn’t anything on the menu I could find suitable for MF’s lunch (unless you consider a platter of random cut-up fruits lunch). Lucky I brought my own porridge and they did not stop me from feeding him the porridge there. (Well… My friend and I did each buy a cup of over-priced fruit juice from them.)

For diaper-changing, there is a diaper-changing table at the handicap toilet near the restaurant.  And the nursing room is just down the escalator.

Convenience wise, Frunatic is a great place to bring your kids to as they can have fun while you sip on your juices. However, unless they make serious improvements to their menu, I don’t think I would come back.  If you really want to let your kids have fun, there is The Playhouse at nearby Rochester Park.  You need to pay for your kids to play there, but at least it is bigger and packed with toys and air-conditioned.
