**Please note that Kiddy Fun is no longer in operation.**
Yesterday I attended a birthday party at Kiddy Fun.
The party time slot was 3.30pm to 5.30pm. I arrived with the kids at 2.30pm and was initially told I couldn’t enter until 3.30pm. But hello, there was only ONE kid playing inside when I was there. You know how sad that is?? To have only one kid in the playground on a Saturday afternoon? At the same time, Fidgets World (also located at The Grandstand) was PACKED!! As I was about to leave, the staff changed their mind and told me I could go in. So thumbs up for being flexible! Do note that some indoor playgrounds entitle party guests to unlimited playtime on the day of the party while others limit it to only the party time-slot, so that is one thing you may want to take into consideration when choosing a party venue.
When we were there, the party area was already set up. The themes that Kiddy Fun provided included Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pirates, Princesses, Jungle Animals, Minions and Frozen. The party I attended was Mickey-themed. Kiddy Fun was very generous with the decorations and balloons!
The whole sofa area was also reserved for party guests so adults could sit there and mingle.
They also provided Kiddy Fun party bags (I forgot to collect mine, so couldn’t take photo of the contents.. My bad!)
During the party itself, the Kiddy Fun staff was totally not involved (which was expected for a no-frills package) so it was up to the hosts to run the whole party. The only thing they helped to do was to gather the guests for cake-cutting – that was good enough imo.
Their party packages currently start from $449 (on weekday) / $499 (on weekends) for a themed party for 15 kids without food. They also have packages that included food if you wish to save the hassle, otherwise you could bring your own caterer in. You can visit their website for their party package details. I felt it was a very reasonable price because many indoor playgrounds in Singapore charge much more than this for their party packages, especially for themed parties.
The playground, being compact and not too crowded, made the party feel very nice, cosy and exclusive even though it was not a private party. The adults could mingle at the party area without worrying about the whereabouts of their kids as the whole play area could be viewed from the party area. I would recommend this playground for parties if most of your guests are around 3 – 6 years old (which I feel is the best age to enjoy the apparatus in this playground), especially on weekends where everywhere else would be crazy crowded.
