Recently I saw photos of my friend visiting La Marelle Boutique Cafe and I was immediately intrigued! So I called out my fellow stay-home-mums friends from so.natty.sg and kidsonboard.net to join me for brunch there.
[Note: We visited this cafe for brunch about a week back. But when I was writing this post, I checked their Facebook Page and their opening hours says 12noon – 10.30pm while their Instagram says 11am – 10pm. Do they have flexi working hours?? *confused*]
Doesn’t La Marelle look so pretty and whimsical?
Of course, if you know me, there must be more than just beautiful decor to attract me to visit this cafe. Here it is.
TOYS AND BOOKS FOR KIDS at La Marelle
For older children and young adults, there were also a selection of board games and books.
So the first thing I did was to grab a toy for MY.
Once he was settled, we went to order our food!
La Marelle Cafe Food & Menu
They had simple breakfast sets, as well as pasta if you are looking for something more filling. Since we were there for brunch, we ordered their croissant, scones and banana bread. And of course COFFEE.
Their cake selection differed daily. (I saw a beautiful rainbow cake on their Facebook Page which I wanted to try but they didn’t have it that day. Sad.) They had many other cakes available when we were there and we had such a hard time choosing!
In the end we settled for the Red Velvet and Sea Salt Caramel cake. I was not a big fan of red velvet but enjoyed the Sea Salt Caramel cake. MY on the other hand didn’t care. He liked ALL cakes.
And here’s MY after the meal – SUGAR HIGH! With cakes and toys, you can tell he super enjoyed the visit!
La Marelle Boutique
Not just can you eat and play at this cafe, you can even SHOP! There was a wide range of pretty stuff to buy at La Marelle!
Don’t you just love those BAGS??? I haven’t shopped for bags since I had kids, since all I needed was my diaper bag. I feel so deprived.
And there were some more stuff upstairs! Don’t forget to go upstairs!
Let’s take some photos before we continue shopping! Lol..
And let’s continue shopping!
And I super LOVE the lamps! Are they for sale, I wonder?
We had a super-dee duper good time at La Marelle. I mean, how often do we stay home mums get to shop and eat while the kids plays all at the same time?
Notes on Visiting with Kids
- There was a long flight of stairs to go up to La Marelle. So please do not bring the stroller.
- There are high chairs available.
- There is a toilet within the cafe but no diaper-changing facility.
Exploring the Vicinity
La Marelle was located in the Arab Street vicinity with many interesting cafe and wall graffiti. After eating, we went around being local tourists!
