Recently we were at Sentosa again, because you know, Sentosa is one of my favourite hang-outs ever since I got my Faber Licence. I need to visit more often to make my money worth. We decided to check out what this Story of Our City 3D that has been advertised on TV is all about. It looked like a kind of trick art exhibit and I love trick art! Especially when it’s free. :p
This particular 3D street art is on display at Resorts World Sentosa, stretching from the entrance of Trick Art Museum to the Korean food court (Insadong Korea Town). Technically, that makes it the Guinness World Record holder for the “longest anamorphic pavement art” according to Resorts World Sentosa’s blog. But I don’t know.. most of it was just sky and sea.
Until we reached the centre where there was a 3D painting of Singapore’s various landmarks.
For the best view of the 3D effect, you need to stand on the red circle. I wondered if the choice of using a ‘little red dot’ was deliberate. Probably was.
So this is the skyscraper as seen as you are just strolling along the pavement.
And this is the same skyscrapers as view from the little red dot. Pretty cool huh.
And this is us standing at the top of the skyscrapers.
We attempted some trick art stunts. Can’t say we were very good at it. But oh well, it was pretty cheap thrill and gave us 15 minutes of fun for free.
The art work will be on display until 22 January 2016. I don’t recommend going to Sentosa just to see the art work because it is pretty small. But if you are going to Sentosa anyway, don’t forget to pop by to take some photos!
