Harbor Land - Asia's Largest Indoor Playground - Bumble Bee Mum

If you have been following my blog since the beginning of its time, you would know that our family are indoor playground addicts.  You can blame it on my laziness as a Type Z mom (go figure), but indoor playgrounds have allowed me to stay sane (I hope) over the years.

Harbor Pattaya Blog Review 30 - Harbor Land Asia's Largest Indoor Playground

Over our years of travelling, the boys have been immersing themselves in indoor play whenever they had the chance to.  Such as at Lotte World in Seoul (Korea), Taipei Children’s Amusement Park (Taiwan), Thomas Town in Johor Bahru (Malaysia) etc.

We are so obsessed that we have even stayed at hotels with indoor playgrounds, like Jeju Lotte Hotel (Korea) and Bintan Lagoon Resort (Indonesia).  And dined at restaurants with indoor playgrounds like Car Car Hotpot (Taoyuan, Taiwan) and Mr Tree Station (Taipei, Taiwan).

So can you imagine my excitement when I saw this poster at Harbor Pattaya that said they had Harbor Land – Asia’s Largest Indoor Playground?

Harbor Pattaya Blog Review 01

Initially when I saw the poster claiming that Harbor Land was the largest indoor playground in Asia, I was a bit skeptical.   But still, I had to see it with my own eyes.  Because I can’t go around proclaiming to be an indoor playground junkie if I walked right by Asia’s largest indoor playground and didn’t go in, right?

After visiting, I concur.  It was HUGE.  And awesome fun! Let’s start with a video to bring your through the amazing Harbor Land.

If you’re not a video person, no worries.  Just scroll down and read more about the various areas at Harbor Land.

Toddler Area

Right next to the entrance was the toddler play area.  There were toys, building blocks, ride-on vehicles and activity boards suitable for toddlers here.  There was also a small active play area at the side, with a small ball pit at the end of the slide.

Basketball Area

There was a mini basketball court, where kids could challenge each other to a game of basketball with rubber balls provided.  There were hoops on both sides of the court, and the hoops should be within reach of children.  (Though if you watched the video, you would realise MY failed terribly at it.. haha!)

Harbor Caving

See the small dark holes? I assume kids are supposed to crawl in and find their way through a cave system inside (hence the name ‘Harbor Caving’) until they reach the exit.  The holes were a bit small for adults, so the kids are on their own.  There were TV monitors for parents to observe what’s happening inside.  MY was terrified of going in, so we gave this a miss.

Harbor Adventure

Right next to Harbor Caving was Harbor Adventure, which had a reasonably big rope obstacle course with varied obstacles like slack lines, log bridges, spider webs etc.  It was pretty challenging for 3 year-old MY who had a lot of fun trying (but failing) most of the courses.

Harbor Racing

At the Harbor Racing section, kids could choose from a range of scooters, mini bikes and even roller blades (complete with helmet and guards) to race around with!

Harbor Cosplay

There was a nice selection of costumes for kids to dress up with at Harbor Cosplay.

Harbor Da Vinci

And if your kids get tired of all the running, climbing and racing, they can take a break at Harbor Da Vinci to do some art.

Active Play Area

Last but definitely not least, we reach the active play area which was HUGE!! Like crazy huge.  So huge that I got lost inside and gave up trying to find my way to the top of some of the slides.

There were all the usual indoor playground elements such as obstacles, rope bridges, trampoline, air blasters (foam ball shooting) zone.  And slides, slides and MORE SLIDES.  The array of slides here was just mind-boggling.

And there were the not-so-usual play elements like the tubing lane and sledding lane!  I was in awe at how they fit tubing and sledding (stuff I usually only expect to find at snow resorts) into the an indoor playground’s playscape.  You really need to see it to believe it.

Admission Fee

Harbor Pattaya Blog Review 31 - Harbor Land Asia's Largest Indoor Playground

One of the most annoying things about visiting attractions for kids is having to pay for adult admission.  But over here at Harbor Land, I really didn’t mind paying the 150 baht for myself to enter.  I had tons of fun at the active play area.  The slides were pretty thrilling even for adults! And I went tubing quite a number of times.  Haha! To me that was well-worth the 150 baht.

In Summary…

It’s a pity I didn’t know about this place before we visited Pattaya and only had an evening to spend here.   The boys could easily have spent the whole day here! Plus there are tons more fun stuff to do at Harbor Pattaya which I would share on a separate post.

If you are in Pattaya with Kids, I highly recommend you set a full day aside for Harbor Pattaya, especially if your kids are into indoor play.

  1. I can’t believe how many different things there are to do here – that dressing up area looks like a shop! Harbour Caving sounds like a lot of fun and I’m glad to hear they let grown ups go down those slides. Thanks for sharing with us on #FarawayFiles

What a bargain! So much to do there. I am sure my kids would love this place so much. My daughter is really into those climbing walls and I like that softer version. She would of course do it in a princess outfit. Thanks for joining us on #farawayFiles
