When I was younger, visiting the local Hard Rock Cafe was a mandatory part of my travel plans. It was THE place to get my travel memorabilia. Whether it was their signature pin, shot glass or T-SHIRT, it is the mark of ‘I’ve been there’. And of course, while at it, we would pop by the bar for some cocktails.
Somehow as I got older, this tradition of mine was lost. After I had kids, the idea of visiting a Hard Rock Cafe never crossed my mind – because ‘hard rock’ barely sounded kids-friendly. That was until our staycation at Festive Hotel, when we decided to have dinner at Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa.
We went for an early dinner to beat the crowd, and were surprised that most of the patrons there at that time were families with young children!
If you come late and all the tables are filled, you can lounge and the other side of the cafe for some pre-dinner drinks. This is probably where I would be if I was 10 years younger. :p
Once we were seated, the staff dished out the kids menu and an activity pack for the kids.
The Kids menu was so cute and colourful! However, we did not order a kids meal because the kids just had a tea break in the Hard Rock Hotel swimming pool. Yes, IN the swimming pool. You can read about that here. But I peeked at the opposite table and saw the kids Mac & Cheese being served in a Guitar-shaped plate!
The menu doubled up as an activity sheet, with many hard rock themed activities for the kids to complete at the back.
And the activity pack came with a book with many pages of activities, ranging from colouring pages to mazes to tic tac toe. Plus a bunch of crayons. The staff even told us to feel free to go to the counter to collect more activity books / crayons in needed!
While the kids were well-entertained by the activity pack, I went around to check out the showcases displaying clothes and instruments used by famous rock stars.
The food arrived and we were so glad we did not order any kids meal. We ordered two main dishes and the serving were very generous! Their Fajitas were supposed to be famous, so we had to order one.
We could choose chicken, beef or duo combo. We went for the grilled chicken.
There was enough ingredients to make 4 such fajitas. And it tasted SO good!
We also ordered the Hickory-Smoked Barbecue Combo with ribs and chicken.
I especially love the Barbecue Chicken which was sooo tender!
We had an extremely enjoyable dinner at Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa! The food was great and the kids pack ROCK! This would definitely be my to-go for meals when I’m at Resorts World Sentosa again.
And of course, if you would like to get some signature travel momento, you can find The Rock Shop just beside the cafe.
Tip: If you are planning on having dinner there, please go early or expect to be put on a waiting list. We were there at 5+pm and managed to get a table easily. But by the time we left, the cafe was packed and there was a waiting list to get a table.
