Singapore Nursing Rooms Review @ Bugis Junction
September 7, 2011

Where: There is a small Baby Care Room at Basement 1, near the toilet where Ya Kun Kaya Toast is.  There is also a bigger Baby Care Room inside BHG department store, level 3 (children’s department).  I very much prefer going to the one at BHG, but it is often fully occupied on weekends.

Seperation: Two private nursing cubicles, seperated from the diaper-changing area by curtains. They are perpetually occupied on weekends, so be prepared to wait.

Cleanliness: the sofa is a bit old, but other than that, the whole Baby Care Room is pretty well maintained.

Beauty: Cute wallpaper to decorate the room, makes you feel happy and comfortable one you step in. There are also chairs available for companions to take a seat while waiting.

Water dispenser: Hot and cold water dispenser available.

Power point: None

Additional feature: There is a playground just next to the Baby Care Room, which is just a simple play area, but good enough to put your kid down for a while if you need a break.

Separation: The nursing area is not separated from the diaper-changing area, but the whole room can be locked.

Cleanliness: Good

Beauty: If you have been to enough nursing rooms in Singapore, you will recognize this layout and picture on the wall by now.  It comes from the same mould as nursing rooms at Bishan Junction 8, Funan DigitaLife Mall and Tampines Mall.  Same hard, uncomfortable bench for nursing, and just big enough for you to push a compact stroller in.

Power point: None

Water dispenser: None
