Splash N Surf @ Singapore Sports Hub
New year, new playground! Today I brought the kids to the water play area at Singapore Sports Hub called ‘Splash N’ Surf’.
Doesn’t it look fun? There’s even a lifeguard on duty. And it’s absolutely free!
The play area is meant for kids 3 – 12 years of age and open from 8 am to 10 pm daily. MF, who just turned 4, dashed in on his own once he changed into his swimming costume.
He had no problem playing on his own. MY, who was almost 2, was a bit more hesitant and stood by the side of the toddler area to check things out first.
He decided he wanted to go in, so we changed him into his swimming costume. First thing we did was to throw him into the swing. The swing is for toddlers under 2 years of age and under 12 kg.
Okay, so that lasted less than a minute and he decided he wanted to go to the big kids area.
The big kids area was just awesome.. There was not 1, not 2, but 4 slides of various heights!
Seriously, now there is even less reason to pay for Port of Lost Wonder when you have a free play area like this.
MF was moving way too fast for my laggy phone camera, but here is MY enjoying the smaller slides.
Our visit was cut short when MF got an abrasion on his knee. The lifeguard was very quick to notice and asked me if I needed a plaster. We ended up using our own Disney plaster, but it was good to know that first aid was readily available.
1) 4 slides of various heights
2) FREE of charge
3) Lifeguard on duty
1) No hot shower (am I asking too much? Hah.)
Lazy River @ Singapore Sports Hub
If Splash N Surf is not enough for your kids, check out the Lazy River nearby!
It is not free though. There is a (very reasonable) charge of just $2 per entry.
I haven’t been there yet, so here are photos I asked my friend to take for me.
Just like at Splash N Surf, there are lifeguards on duty.
There are also double floats! So romantic…
So what are you waiting for? Grab your swimming attire and one of these floats and start lazing down the Lazy River!
Shower Rooms & Diaper-changing facility
In the toilets near Splash n Surf, you will find 2 shower rooms in the female toilet. Didn’t check the male toilet (for obvious reason) but pretty sure there are shower rooms there too.
There was also a diaper-changing table in the toilet.
There are FREE lockers available. Yes, FREE! They are located in between Splash n Surf and the lazy pool.
If you are looking for a nursing room at Singapore Sports Hub, please see this post on Kallang Wave Nursing Room.
